Stockholm, I missed you

Next week I'm going to Stockholm to visit my aunt and of course to do some crazy discount shopping. The discounts are now in their full glory and I'm hoping that they hit the -75% mark by the time we get there. I'm also planning on visiting the famous fashion outlets for the first time which should be very interesting. You will get the travel and shopping report later.

I only had a few items on my list that I would like to get such as this zipper skirt I spotted last time in Sweden, some bleach treated jeans, another wrinkled t-shirt in black, and maybe a fresh pair of platform heels. Someone should've warned me how dangerous it is to go window shopping online since now there are at least ten more things on my wishlist. Here are some of the things I found online and I'm drooling over:

The zipper skirt I mentioned above is on the left side but that double zipper shirt would go perfectly with almost everything in my closet! I'm also loving the lace and denim combo in the middle picture, as well as the zipper shorts on the last image.

I guess I can never get enough of jeans. I think the ones with the leather patches might be just one step closer to my dream of having a pair of leather pants.

Monki

Zippers again.. I'm so loving the Alexander Wangish zipper crop top at Monki. The black skirt on the other hand would be a good basic, and the grey sweater looks just like chainmail armor, giving it that medieval look I like.

I love the sheer fabrics and these tops just culminate with everything that is so me. I imagine wearing these during those hot summer days when I still want to keep my dark cool on.

Whyred and Acne

I've been eyeing the black dress with buttons at the Whyred Outlet for awhile now and keeping my fingers crossed that they would have one on sale at the Whyred store. The Acne boots are to die for and already on discount here.

Hopefully I won't blow a month's budget over there, that's how promising it looks. Wouldn't you agree?

Xmas wishlist

Every Christmas I want to say no to presents but knowing my family and boyfriend, it's not an option. Who knew that I have been that nice? To ease their pain of what to get me this year, I created a wishlist for Xmas. These are things that I have been eyeing on this fall, and to my surprise, some are actually possible to implement.

1. Long leather gloves. I have been looking for the perfect pair for two years now. Weekday store in Sweden had black ones with a zipper, and for one reason or another, I have said no them three times already. Stupid me...

2. Durable umberella. I have to thank Honey Junkie for this idea. She has proven to us that this Senz Stealth magical umberella actually works in the raging wind and rain. I have broken way too many umbrellas in my lifetime; could this be the answer to all my problems?

3. Shield ring. After admiring something similar on the fingers of some fellow fashion bloggers, I really want one myself.

4. YSL Rouge Pure Shine Lipstick, no. 1. I can not live without this lipstick! It's seriously so red, soft, moisturizing, shiny and long lasting that no other lipstick can beat it. Besides, it has the most beautiful case too!

5. "The Givenchy" shoes. I know these are something I can not get for Xmas but a girl can dream, right? If anyone knows a store that sells the knock-offs, please let me know ASAP!

Whats on your Xmas wishlist this year?

The boot dilemma: OTK boots

The sun is starting to set here at 4pm which has made it impossible to take pictures without any decent light. As it leaves much more time for internet surfing, I have been obsessively looking for a perfect pair of over the knee (OTK) boots. While browsing through the Givenchy's spring/summer 09 collection, their OTK boots made my hunger grow.

Ebay has some vintage pairs to offer but majority of the time the prices get a bit too high or the size is not right. I almost jumped from my seat when my lovely boyfriend linked me these OTK boots with a zipper from Yesstyle.

However, PU as a material worries me as the weather is getting colder and I've had an experience with a pair of boots that had cracked when the temperature hit -20C (yes, it does get that cold here sometimes). I'm also worried about the possible customs and tax that might affect the purchase (anyone have any experience with ordering from Hong Kong?). After surfing some more in the wonderful world of internet, I found a couple of interesting pairs from Bianco Footwear. They both seem quite perfect but the price is still rather high for my taste.

If any of you dear readers know a good online store where I could get a pair of OTK boots that actually ship to Europe, are leather and not overly priced, please help a girl in need. I will also check a local store here since my trusted salesperson emailed me that might have something I'm looking for. I got my Bullboxer platform booties there after his recommendation and those have been my most worn pair of shoes this year. Hopefully my search will come to a happy end.

Purple love

I was browsing though my favorite street style website, the Stockholm Streetstyle. They are organizing a competition to win the cutest little Acne bag. I feel that this purple baby definitely needs to find its way into my closet because I have a serious thing for purple accessories this fall, and it would complement my collection of purple tights, hat, necklace, and bracelet. If you are a blogger, you can take part in the competition on their website.

Since I am suffering from a flu and have to stay at home, no daily outfits for you today, sorry. I do have some pics from the weekend's festivities but I don't wanna post them until I get more pictures from the fashion event I attended (they should be up soon). I hope these inspirational pictures from Stockholm Streetstyle will warm your day up like they are warming up mine.

PS. All of a sudden I have the urge to get an oversized sweater, a Kim Wilde inspired long black blazer with rolled up sleeves, and a long dress for winter...

Edit! Saturday's pics are available so I'm able to post outfit pics!!!

Jonathan Saunders for Target

It is so unfair that I live in Finland because Jonathan Saunders is this year's designer collaborator for Target. I like every single piece of this collection but the jacket with the leather lining, the black skirt, the purple ombre dress, the color block dress, and the black & white dress are just pure love. Ok, all of them are!

When the time comes, does any lovely reader living in the States want to help a girl in need of some Jonathan?

Back to black

Some of you might be aware that I write shopping tips as a freelancer "style agent" for a Finnish website called Tyylitaivas. We were asked to pick the top products of the fall from their partner Ellos which is a Swedish based online store. For my entry, I decided to make a collage of all the things I have personally on my wish list from Ellos. Since the collage ended up looking pretty cool, and it took my time and effort to create it, I thought I'd post it here as well. It's my first collage on this blog, let me know what you think. In the future I will tag collages with "wishlist".

The collage actually inspired me so much, that I wanted to create an outfit from my own closet with the same "theme". Fall is here, at it's back to black, folks.

Skirt: H&M
Mc-jacket: My boyfriend's
Shirt: Lindex
Shoes: Wedins
Bag: Saddler
Rose ring: Stockmann

Later on in the day my boyfriend and I went out to eat some Indian food and I changed the shoes to my cherry bon bons to give the outfit a splash of color. Can't be that dark all the time, right?
