Caught by Elle

This picture is from last week's Jimmy Choo for H&M VIP night, the Elle girls caught us right when we got in (hence my goofy face). I'm wearing almost all new purchases from Berlin, and this time my outfit was heavily YSL inspired (I can't help it, every time I look at the gray peg leg pants, all I can see is the fab YSL fall 08 RTW collection).

To completely honest, I wasn't too keen on the shoes of the Choo collection (most of them looked cheaply made and were too blingy for my taste) but what I was actually hunting for were the accessories. I really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how nuts people went over the designs, girls can be so brutal to one another! Luckily nobody was fighting over my picks, so I got out without any bruises or further damage. I ended up coming home with the double wrap leather belt and a few toned down bracelets, including the ones we got in the goodiebags (I got everything I was hunting for). The best part of the night was meeting up with the other style bloggers that were invited to this event, we had a blast!

A huge thank you for Satu and Jenni at Elle for the picture, more pictures of the stylish guests can be found here.

I am glad to finally have found someone that actually thinks that the shoes weren´t that good. I had the same feeling of them being cheap looking.

Neva-products! Oh thank you, you're so sweet!:)

Nathalia: Thank you (from both of us). ;) I've been looking for pants like these for ages too and was so happy to finally find them at COS in Berlin.

Melissa: Thanks and will do. :)

Anonymous: Se on englantilainen ketjuliike, shoppailin Berliinissä COS:lla. Kiitos kovasti. :)

B a la Moda: Heh, I'm glad that you agree with me. :) I was more into the accessories that looked "not so much Choo".

Lada: Kiitos kulta! Itse olet!

Ulrika: Aww, thanks!:)

Georgia: More people agree about the shoes, good. ;) Thanks!

Maria: Mine too!!:) Thanks!

Kati: Saat toki sanoa, sana on täällä vapaa. Kumpaan meistä viittaat? :D Poikaystäväni on muotitietoinen heteromies, se voi olla kova pala monelle suomalaiselle.

COS on osa H&M yhtiötä. Perustaja perheenjäsenen liikeidea ja toteutus H&M:n rahoituksella ja suojissa. Valmistusmaat ja tehtaat samat kuin H&M.

Anonymous: Tämä on kyllä tiedossa. :) Englannista tosin lähtöisin koko idea.

H&M perusti ensimmäisen COS-liikkeen Lontooseen. Liikeidea, toteutus ja hallinto on Ruotsista H&M perustajasuvun perheenjäseneltä. Itse olin töissä aikoinaan H&M:llä.

Anonymous: Linkki ei tainnut vieläkään pelittää. :( Täällä (http://wapedia.mobi/en/H%26M#6.) sanotaan näin:

COS (Collection of Style) is a fashion concept started by H&M with a fashion show at the Royal Academy of Arts in London and the opening of a signature COS store on Regent Street on 16 March 2007. COS begins where H&M ends: featuring mainly subtle, monochrome colors, the minimalist, clean-cut pieces in the collections for men and women are created with a focus on "quality in terms of the fabrics, fit and finish", [16] merging "high fashion attributes [...] with ground level pricing", [16] and thus "providing the look of Jil Sander for less". [17] The collections range from fundamental basics to sophisticated cocktail dresses and sleek mens' suits. COS's target group is the "mid-market consumer" [18] who either cannot be reached with H&M products or wants to trade up. COS merchandise is designed by Rebekka Bay (women's) and Michael Kristensen (mens), and is manufactured in Europe (80%) and Asia (20%). [19] Prices range above those for comparable items in the H&M mainline stores, but supposedly below comparable ready-to-wear collection clothing. A men's dress shirt retails at about € 50,00, a suit at or below € 350,00. As of spring 2008, signature COS stores - the exclusive points of sale for COS collection items - can be found in Antwerp, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Paris, Den Haag, Berlin (3x), Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart and London (3x). There are no COS outlets outside Europe, yet. COS stores are designed by interior architect William Russell, a British Pentagram partner.

Voi ainakin sanoa, että ketju on Englannista lähtöisin (koska mallisto ja eka liike esiteltiin siellä), vaikka itse idis olisikin syntynyt muualla. :D Suunnittelijoiden nimet kuulostaisivat myös brittiläisiltä. Mut joo, tää alkaa mennä pilkunviilaukseksi. :D

COS on H&M:n perustajasuvun vesan Karl-Johan Perssonin liikeidea. COS on osa H&M-yhtymää. Sydämeltään COS on ruotsalainen.

Suunnittelijoista Michael Kristensen ja Rebekka Bay ovat tanskalaisia.
