Dark shadows and bright lights

My official photographer, a.k.a. boyfriend, has inherited the spring flu from me, meaning photographing is now my and the Gorillapod's responsibility for the next couple of days. Therefore the strange photos; although it was fun playing with the camera and the sunlight. Frankly, I haven't worn anything really exciting since Saturday, just some clothes I've been able to grasp from my closet during the five minutes I have time each morning to get dressed for work. The red lace-ups have played a major role in my outfits lately and let me tell you, they are really growing on me by every footstep. I've also worn the same hairdo since Saturday but tonight these crazy curls will be washed away because I started to feel like some weird hybrid between Jayne Eyre and the characters from Edgar Allan Poe's work. Then again, that sounds like a pretty cool combination, eh?

Very cool pictures, especially the second one from the top! You should play with the camera more often :)

Love your photos. True that with those shoes you can wear it simple and it'll always turn out quite hype. Like your necklace too. And great makeup. You dazzle so I guess the flu is gone by now !

Saana: Thanks! I think so too, it's actually fun to toy with the camera. :) However, I'm hoping my official photographer will get well soon to take the full body pics.

Cafe noir: Thank you very much. :) Yep, the flu is pretty much gone, just some coughs here and there. Yay!

Sushi: Thanks!:)

Maria: That's nice to hear. You should definitely do that! Oh and thanks for the tip today, I will look into how I actually managed to take these photos.

Neira: Thank you! I love love love using red lipstick, it's my fave. :)

Suomella ja skandinaaveilla ei ole mitään yhteistä kielellisesti, eivätkä kansammekaan ole sukua, tai edes peräisin samalta alueelta." ja sun profiilissa ; A Scandinavian girl trying to survive in the corporate world while dreaming about clothes and a huge walk-in closet.

Anonyymi: Wikipedia sanoo näin:
"Scandinavia" has no official definition and is subject to usage by those who identify with the culture in question, as well as interpretation by outsiders who attempt to give the term their own meaning. The term is, therefore, often defined according to the conventions of the cultures that lay claim to the term in their own usage.[9] The clearest example of the use of the term "Scandinavia" as a political and cultural construct is the unique position of Finland, based largely on incursions into that country and occupation of it by Sweden, thus to much of the world properly associating Finland with all of Scandinavia."

Jos siis käyttää termiä "skandinaavia" nimenomaan kulttuuris-poliittisessa merkityksessä (maantieteellis-kielellisen sijaan), ja kokee samaistuvansa skandinaaviseen kulttuuriin, voi itsestään ihan hyvin puhua skandinaavina.

Plus suurin osa jenkeistä käyttää puhekielessä ilmaisua "scandinavia" kaikista pohjoismaista.
