Primavera

Sometimes the inspiration for the daily outfits can be found from the most bizzarre places. Friday night's party ensemble got its idea from the renaissance style, having my favorite painter Botticelli's beautiful masterpiece "Primavera" in my mind. The painting pictures women wearing empire line dresses, big necklaces, and wavy hair and Mercury with his gladiator sandals; exactly the same elements which you can find from my outfit. I should use paintings as an inspiration source more often.

Dress: H&M Trend
Pleather pants: H&M
Sandals: Bronx
Clutch: Vintage
Jewellery: Kalevala Koru

It so happens that Primavera means spring in Italian, and due today's sunshine burst, it finally seems like spring is REALLY here. Fingers crossed that it will continue like this from now on.

What a lovely outfit, the dress is so beautiful! I love the fact it has pockets ;) The back is also amazing, and the pleather pants and the super-cool sandals fit the outfit so perfectly!

Aurinkoista sunnuntaita! :)

I love this outfit! I love that your style has enough consistent elements that it is one cohesive style, and yet you can still pull off such a variety of trends and pieces! =]

What an amazing dress - it seems to have more possibilities than even a similar AA style dress.

Ihanan raikkaan näköinen asu, keväistä. sandaalit on ihan uskomattomat, en aiemmin ole hirveästi lämmennyt noille kiilakoroille, mutta nyt alkaa polttaa :D

Nice outfit! I like the way the purse links the cross necklace to the pants and sandals. Cute hairstyle as well, very fashion-punk. I'm not sure about the dress' appearance. It kind of looks like what a pregnant woman would wear.

Anyway, great job!

Maria: Thanks. :) Pockets are handy hehe. ;) They also make the dress less dressy and more relaxed. I'm also loving the open back at the moment, it's 90's that it hurts...

NinaV: Aww, thanks sweetie. ;) I'm extremely flatered.

Fruchtswerg: Anytime girl, anytime. ;) This dress is actually unbelievably versatile, I have worn it so many ways. I know it's not supposed to be worn this way but hey, it works!

Fröken lila: Thanks! It's a first time for me but I should try it more often, it's refreshing. :)

Anonymous/Sanna: Likewise! Ihanaa, että mulla on niin mukavia lukijoita. Joo ja mä en pure, vaikken hymyilekään kuvissa. ;) Ei muuta kun kommaa kehiin vaan!

Juliet: Kiitti! Ristiteema tosiaan esiintyy korussa, selässä ja kenkien nyöreissä. :)

Jasmin: Thank you, that's so sweet!! My body is far from perfect though, I got my insecurities and all. Actually one reason for me to end up wearing this dress was because I felt too gross for all my clothes that day. It seems like these things go in spasms, sometimes you feel good and then you feel bad about yourself. Others can't notice a thing though! You seem to be a very cute girl as well!:)

Meaghan: Thanks! :) I guess my eyes have learned to pick things that are very "me" over the years. ;)

Antonia: Oh, thank you!!!:)

Dirtydirtylaundry: Thanks and true! This dress is very versatile and this is not even the way it's suppoed to be worn originally. I have to see how that AA dress looks like in order to compare. :)

Niviarsiaq: Thank you so much! :) I'm happy that you can see the similarity.

Sarakissa: Joo, vaikka harmaamustassa mennään taas. ;) No olihan siellä pilkahdus kultaa.. Ei vais, aurinko tekee paljon keväisemmän tunnelman! Kiilakorot on pop, suosittelen! On meinaan ihanat jalassa.

Winda: Kiitos kovasti!:)

Moccca: Kiitti!! Pitäis ulkoiluttaa tätä vähän useamminkin.

Principe Nero: Thanks! Ah, you noticed the link! Also the cross necklace, the back of the dress (crossed straps) and the shoe laces (crossed) are linked together. It's all in harmony. I'd like to get my hair even more punkish but thanks! The empire line makes the dress look a bit like a maternity dress but I don't mind it at all. It's very renaissance and Botticelli plus it hides all the curves. ;)

Pitää taas ihailla asua, ja myös inspiraatiota! empirelinja toimii tässä ihanasti ja kokonaisuus on tosiaan raikas ja keväinen; hieno tulkinta modernista renessanssinaisesta! :)

tää mekko ja kengät on kyl aivan mahtavia:) mun mielestä sie oot yks parhaiten pukeutuva suomalainen bloggaaja, ellet jopa paras, sillä vaikka itse olenkin erilainen pukeutuja sinuun verrattuna ja yhdistelen todella paljon eri tyylejä ja värejä asuissani, saan näistä sinun postauksistasi silti aina jotain uutta ideaa:P

Shini: Thanks, the knot is actually "self-made" with the straps. :D I don't know about the Aldo pricing but mine cost 99 Euros. :)

Nekta: Kiitos kaunis! :)

Annamari: Kiitos kovasti, tätä juuri hainkin ja hienoa, että se tunnelma välittyy myös sinne puolelle ruutua. :)

Girzi: Voi kiitos, tässähän ihan menee sanattomaksi kaikista ihanista sanoista! Ihan mahtavaa, jos voin toimia inspiraation lähteenä, vaikka tyylillisesti olisikin ihan erilainen tyyppi siellä päässä. :)
