Love will tear us apart
The damn seasonal flu (thank God not the swine flu) has kept me indoors for the past week, and since an old pyjama has not been the best outfit material for a fashion blog, I've kept it quiet here as well. There is really nothing more annoying than feeling like crap, looking like a Peruvian druglord due to all the nose blowing, and coughing like you've smoked cigarettes since the merry 1950's ending up keeping yourself and your partner up at night. Finally there are some signs of recovery, although I can't leave my place without my tissues and the nasal spray (how attractive), and my voice still gets lost in the evenings.
So, here I am barely up again, wearing something cozy and something quite Alexander Wangish with my latest purchases. I picked up all the arm candy from Lindex after receiving their press release, and falling in love with all the Givenchy- est que pieces they got going on this fall. I also found some tye dye leggings and a very Edie Sedgwick-like knitted vest, but more about those later. The bum beanie is quite new too; I was literally forced to get it because if you like bangs like I do, well, let's just say that the autumn wind does not agree with you most of the time. The corduroy pants are a second hand find for one Euro and the t-shirt I purchased when I was in Stockholm back in June.
Speaking of the t-shirt, I must confess something right here and right now: I'm not the biggest fan of these statement t-shirts with huge text over the chest (except maybe those "Frankie says relax" ones, due to their nostalgic value), especially when they say something tacky like "I went to Ibiza and all I got was this lousy t-shirt". You might wonder what made me change my mind with this t-shirt acquired from Weekday; well, with a text you can barely even see and with lyrics of one of my favorite Joy Division tracks, it was the perfect statement shirt of all times. So here, today, it also ends up being the perfect choice for this outfit.

Why you look always so arrogant in your pictures?:( You should smile sometimes:)) True fashion-girl can smile too without losing her credence or what you think? You're very beautiful girl but please smile even in one picture!^^
i wish i looked half as gorgeous and stylish as you do when i'm ill. instead, my lips seem to explode, my face gets covered in spots and my eyes get huge bags under them =/
i'm not fond of statement t-shirts either, but joy division was pure genious, and that line is epic!

Cattt: I don't smile in photos because my cheeks are so ridiculously big that I will end up looking like a round cookie if I do. Everytime I've tried it either comes out as a little smirk or I look so stupid that I can't publish such images. I envy those who can smile without looking ridiculous! If you look at my post where I'm wearing the Rick Owens dress, there is one pic where I try to smile a bit. :D
Ines: Oh you should see me without any makeup, in my PJs and my hair all messy. I tried to tidy up a bit for the pictures, that's why I look half decent in these pictures. :D Joy Division rocks!

Statement -paidathan ovat ihanan kliseisiä :) Odotellaan pari vuotta niin ehkäpä niillä kaameilla Hello Boys- ja 99% Angel -teksteilläkin alkaa jo olla retroarvoa... :)
Btw. mahtavat boot strapsit! Itse tein lopulta DIY-meiningillä. Myös leggarit ovat hienot.
CTRL had t-shirts and hoodies printed with the same Joy Division title few years back. I have one myself to proof it. :)

Stellagee: I know, usually they are so gross but anything with Joy Division HAS to be cool. This t-shirt is so buttery soft, I totally recommend getting it (even if you wear it just as a night gown, which I've done too).

Anonymous: Juu, siellä minä käyn kaikki kenkäni korjauttamassa ja olen ollut tyytyväinen!:) Korkolappujen vaihto on siinä 6-7 Euron kieppeillä (nylonit) ja talvipohjat (eli puolipohjat, btw kannattaa muuten ottaa kumiset, kuten esim näissä mitkä tän postauksen kuvissa oleviin kenkiin on laitettu) about 10-15 Euroa. Korkolaput saa laitatettua ihan siinä odotellessa, mutta se puolipohjien liima kestää kuivua muutaman tunnin, joten niissä saattaa mennä seuraavaan päivään asti. :)
